Located in the north of the Charente-Maritime region, Les Grandes Chaumes, part of the town of Surgères is a quiet hamlet close to every modern facilities. Les Grandes Chaumes still shelters a traditional farm. The farm has been since the XIX century the home of the Jourdain family who is still cultivating crops in the surrounding fields. The gites are ideally situated in the center of the triangle La Rochelle - Rochefort – Marais Poitevin (Green Venice). Still within the easy reach of the beautiful beaches of the Atlantic Coast and the vineyards of the famous Cognac.
